Terms of Service
Last updated: April 23, 2026
1. Agreement
By using PageCalm ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. We may update these terms — continued use after changes means you accept them.
2. The Service
PageCalm provides hosted status pages with AI-powered incident communication tools. We host your public status page, store your incident data, and use AI to help you write incident updates. We also provide an API for creating incidents programmatically from external monitoring tools.
3. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and API keys secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- The account owner is responsible for all activity under the account, including activity by team members invited to the account.
- An individual login can belong to one account at a time.
Team members
- The owner can invite up to 25 additional members per account by email. Members share access to status pages, incidents, subscriber lists, integrations, the AI writer, and any plan benefits — there is no extra charge per member.
- Only the owner can manage billing, invite or remove members, or change roles. Members can do everything else operational (publish incidents, manage components and integrations, create API keys).
- Invitation links are sent by email and expire seven days after issue. The owner can cancel a pending invitation at any time.
- The owner can remove a member at any time; access is revoked immediately. Anything the member created (incidents, status pages, audit-log attribution) remains on the account after they leave.
- Owner-of-account changes are not self-service today; contact support@pagecalm.com if you need one.
4. Your Content
You own the content you create on PageCalm (status pages, incidents, and updates). We don't claim ownership of your content.
You grant us a license to host, display, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service — for example, rendering your public status page and sending subscriber notifications.
You are responsible for the content you publish. Don't use PageCalm to publish content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights.
5. AI-Generated Content
The AI incident writer generates suggested text based on your input. You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content before publishing. PageCalm does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated text.
AI-generated content is a tool to assist you, not a replacement for your judgment. Always review before publishing to your customers.
6. Acceptable Use
Don't use PageCalm to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Send spam or unsolicited messages through subscriber notifications
- Impersonate another person or organization
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
- Use the Service for anything other than legitimate status page and incident management
- Abuse the AI generation feature (e.g., using it for unrelated content generation)
- Abuse the API (e.g., excessive requests, automated account creation, or using the API for purposes other than incident management)
7. Pricing & Payments
PageCalm offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe.
- Prices are in USD and do not include taxes, which may apply depending on your location.
- You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We don't offer refunds for partial months, but we won't charge you again after cancellation.
- We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers keep their rate until the next renewal.
- We may provide complimentary or promotional access to paid plan features at our discretion. You'll be notified when access is granted and before it ends. Complimentary access doesn't change your underlying subscription; any account credits applied from such access are non-refundable but remain on your account and offset future invoices.
8. Plan Limits & API Rate Limits
Each plan has limits on components, subscribers, AI generations, and status pages. The monthly AI-generation allowance is shared across all members on the account. If you exceed your plan's limits, you'll need to upgrade. We won't delete your existing data if you downgrade, but some features may become unavailable until you're within limits.
The API is rate limited to prevent abuse. If you exceed rate limits, requests will be rejected with a 429 status code until the limit resets. Current limits are documented on our documentation page. We may adjust rate limits at any time to protect service quality.
9. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but don't guarantee 100% uptime (yes, even for a status page company — we appreciate the irony). We may have occasional downtime for maintenance or updates.
We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions, including the inability to publish incident updates during an outage of your own services.
10. Data & Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. By using the Service, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. When the account owner deletes, the account and all of its data are removed; team members on that account lose access. When a team member deletes their own login (or is removed by the owner), the account itself is unaffected — the owner and the remaining members continue without interruption.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, account data is deleted within 30 days.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PageCalm is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
13. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property matters.
